In the last update I said that Sebastian is growing about twice as fast as a normal baby. Well here is the proof. Being my usual geeky, nerdy self, I got a hold of the CDC growth chart equations and made a spreadsheet where I can chart Sebastian’s growth against the average growth of US babies.

Weigth Chart

The average weight plots start at his original due date of February 5th. The chart shows clearly that he is growing at a slightly accelerated rate compared to normal. We were hoping he would weigh 11lbs (5kg) by June but it looks like he’ll hit that mark sometime this week already.

Heigth Chart

This is quite interesting. How can his weight be right on target while his height is so far below the average? Well, the next graph should explain everything.
