I don’t know how many people are still reading this, but I figures this is probably the easiest way to keep communicating to all our friends and family. Our move to Malaysia is now imminent. We are flying out on June 23th, which is great timing considering it is right in the middle of the world cup. Oh well, there is no postponing it any longer. Everybody is healthy now.

Sebastian is simply doing great. Everything that the doctors prepared us for has not come to be. He is still growing like crazy. His current weight puts him right in the middle of the growth charts, he is catching up in height, and he has beautiful fat rolls all over his body. The worst of his cramping is mostly gone and the reflux has not gotten any worse. Best of all is his muscular and motor skills (no, not the one with an engine) are developing really well. It seems that he is a little bit ahead when comparing to other children at his gestational age. If he continues at the current pace I predict that he will be sitting upright by himself before he hits four months (7 months, from his dob). When pulling him to an upright position he prefers to get to a standing position instead of simply sitting. I have a feeling that we’ll have to put a leash on him by the time he hits 9 months. He already talks as much as his mother does, however he seems to have developed a language of his own which closely resembles papas speech after 6 jack & cokes and 5 jeagermeisters. Let’s see what happens when we throw in a bit of the native languages of Malaysia. Boy, is he going to be one confused child.

For those of you who have still not seen Sebastian, which, I know is most of our friends and family, it is time to start searching for the cheapest flights to Malaysia. We are going to make sure that we have a big enough house to accommodate more than one set of visitors at a time. I really do hope that you can all make it at some point in time. A word of warning, you might want to check with Sebastian’s grandparents when they are going to be there, because if you will get there at the same time, there is no chance in hell that you will ever get to hold the boy.

Now, it’s back to work. We just put the house on the market. We should be able to sell it fairly easy. If want to check out the online listing, you can do so at the following address: http://funda.nl. This is mostly thanks to the incredibly hard work that Sebastian’s granny Leslie has put in. She has worked miracles and we’ll be eternally greatful for everything she has done. Without her we would never be able to get everything done in time before the move.

Our schedule is now as following. On the morning of the 14th, the kitties will be picked up at home and start their journey to the Far East. On the receiving end they will be picked up by the local animal clinic where they will be spending the next few months in quarantine. That same day granny Leslie will be going back to Virginia, which will surely cause many tears to be shed, however I’m fairly certain that Harold (her husband) will be very, very happy. Two days later, the moving company is coming to empty our house and storage units. We will then move into a hotel for the remaining days and make sure that we have everything taken care off before we leave. So for now, we’ll say goodbye for a little while. When we get settled in we will again post an update to let everyone know how the trip went.
